Coming Event

The History Council Committee is discussing the organisation of an ‘Historians and the Environment’ Symposium, in association with the Professional Historians Association, following the success of our ‘Historians and Truth Telling’ Symposium.  We have all been shocked by the terrible losses sustained in the bushfires in the eastern states and concerned that wider links with drought and climate change are not accepted by all.  A number of historians have been at the forefront of research into our environment and we believe it is timely to organise a symposium focusing on environmental history. Time and place yet to be arranged.  We’ll keep you posted!
