Christmas Tour of the new Boola Bardip | WA Museum

Members of the History Council of WA and the Professional Historians Association (WA) gathered at the entrance to the new museum on the breezy Monday evening of 14 December for a guided tour personally led by Museum CEO Alec Coles. And what a tour it was!

It is unfortunate that the phrase ‘what’s in a name’ is so casually used when talking about any issue involving a place name, especially as an answer is rarely attempted.

There Goes The Windsor: cinema denied State heritage registration

The Heritage Council of WA at its September meeting considered the listing of the Windsor Theatre in Nedlands on the State Register of Heritage Places, before concluding that it “does not have sufficient cultural heritage significance at the State level for inclusion in the State Register”.
