Words to be Heard

16th History Council Annual Lecture presented by Bill Bunbury, 22 August 2019

I was delighted when it was announced that Bill Bunbury was to give the annual History Council WA lecture this year. I have always been a “fan” (if that’s an appropriate choice of word) of Bill’s work dating back to the early 1990s.

Activism, Struggle & Labour History

16th Biennial Conference of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History, hosted by the Perth branch of ASSLH and held on 3-5 October 2019.

Approximately 90 historians, unionists, activists and supporters gathered recently for the 16th Biennial Conference of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History, hosted by the Perth branch of ASSLH and held on 3-5 October at Perth Trades Hall building (now CFMEU offices).

Western Australian History Foundation Grants 2019.

The Foundation was established in 1987 with encouragement from the Minister for Education of the time and with initial sponsorship from the Public Education Endowment Trust, its purpose to promote knowledge of Western Australian history. Subsequent corporate donations have increased the Foundation’s funds which are invested and used to fulfil the Foundation’s objects.
